She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kaalberg and Marguerite Kaalberg (Sullivan); her husband Eugene R. Combs; and her sister Pat Sovers. She is survived by: her friend Connie Crouch of Flaherty's Irish Candy Co; her children, Cindy Mundt (Dan) of Bettendorf, Don Combs (Mary) of Park View and John Combs (Amanda) of Blue Grass; her grandchildren, Mary Lynne Darnell (Frank), Eugene Combs II, Nicole Warner (Tom), Joshua Mundt (Megan), Rebecca Recinos (Erick), Alyssa White (Travis) and Ethan Combs; and her siblings, Bob Kaalberg (Janet), Jerry Kaalberg (Donna), Don Kaalberg (Barbara), Carolyn Thompson, Dick Kaalberg (Barbara), Janice Woode (Ken) and Linda Loring (Jeff).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home (644 River Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
