He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Boyd and Mary Boyd; and his siblings, Jim, Mary Ellen Jensen, Debbie Jensen, Patrick Boyd and Charles Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Sally; his son Patrick Boyd (Michelle); his grandchildren, Paul Boyd and Sara Dostal (Cody); his son Mike Boyd (Holly) of LaGrange, IL; his grandchildren, Ryan Boyd (Ashley Feld), Maggie Boyd and Betsy Solem (Jamie) of Elmhurst, IL; his great grandchildren, Abby, Matthew and Sean Solem; his siblings, Jerry Boyd (Linda), Eldridge, Margaret McNamara (Dick), Dr. Thomas Boyd (Carole) and William Boyd (Sheila); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Boyd, Waltraud Boyd and Richard "Dick" Jensen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iowa Quad Cities Rotary -Davenport Challenger Little League or Habitat for Humanity.
