We are sad to announce that on June 23, 2024, at the age of 77, Michael Moritz of Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Davenport, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Michael shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Michael farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Kenneth Moritz and Eloise Moritz (Smithiger); his wife Patricia Hottenstein; his children, Jason Moritz (Melanie Hilliard) and Shannon Moritz; his uncle Richard; his aunt Lynn Moritz; and his siblings-in-law, Carol and Mike Cather.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home (614 Main St, Davenport, IA 52803). A memorial service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, River Bend Food Bank or Kings Harvest No Kill Shelter.
