She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Blake (Elias) and Ervin Blake; her brother Larry; and her grandson Travis DeVriendt. She is survived by: her husband Richard Higgins; her children, Darla DeVriendt (Ronnie) of Stamping Ground, KY, Dawn Hamerlinck (Michael) of Bettendorf, IA and Dean Higgins (Susan) of Coral Springs, FL; her grandchildren, Ryan DeVriendt (Sarah), Jena Neuhaus (Josh), Kaylan Moore, Daniel Higgins (Jenn) and Michael Higgins; and her great grandchildren, Colton, Canaan, Braxton, Becklyn and Brielle.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Weerts Funeral Home (3625 Jersey Ridge Rd, Davenport, IA 52807). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
