It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Schumann of Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on February 1, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Dowell and Katherine Dowell (Bryant); her husband Keith H. Schumann; her children, Deborah Phillips and Rickey Schumann; her siblings, Charles Dowell, Leslie Dowell and Helen Stoneking; and her grandson Heath Peterson.
She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Peterson (Doug Ahnquist); her daughter-in-law Ginnie Schumann; and her sister-in-law Edith Gibeau (Darlene Becker). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Empowering Abilities (formerly Handicapped Development Center), the Special Olympics or to the family.
