He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sime and Joan McGill (O'Donahue); and his stepfather Chuck McGill. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Creech; his children, Allie Voss (Nick), Matthew Mitchell (Myra) and Nathan Mitchell; his grandchildren, Kal, Cody, Dalton, Carly, Taylor of Lauren, J. J., Gavyn and Rylan; his siblings, John Sime (Jill), Eric Sime (Meredith) and Laurie McLaughlin; his nephews, Cam McLaughlin, Danny Sime and Nick Sime; and his sister-in-law Cynthia Creech. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the blood bank of the donor's choice, or the American Cancer Society.
