It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth A. Freitag of Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Jacobs and Ethel Jacobs (Bell); her husband William C. Freitag; and her siblings, Helen, Edith, Evelyn, Edward, Bob and Glenn.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Freitag (Susan) of Davenport, Kathleen Melby (Zach) of Davenport, Gail Yates (Mike) of Stanwood, Lora Gwin (Mark) of Bettendorf and Ruth Anne Morava (Robert) of Williams Bay, Wisconsin; and her grandchildren, Dan Freitag, Sarah Feipel (Freitag), Merridith VanDerGinst (Skovronski), Molly White (Skovronski), Jeffrey Yates, Matthew Yates, Mara Ahles-Iverson (Gwin), Travis Gwin, Cody Gwin, Robert Morava III and Nathan Morava.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, the Bettendorf Lions Club or CASI.
