He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mesick and Ethel Mesick (Edwards); his former wife Anna Casey; his son Charles Mesick; his wife Patricia McCall; his daughter Dr. Sarah Mesick; his son-in-law Dr. Roi Shafer; and his siblings, William, Chellis and Rose.
He is survived by: his children, Chuck Mesick (Sheila), Jeff Mesick (Stephanie), Martha Shafer, Tim Mesick (Gloria) and Becky Mesick; his grandchildren, Stella, Preston, Lauren, Jen, Spencer, Patrick, Natalie and Ross; his great grandchildren, Ben, Ursula, Will, Liam, Roi, Giovanni, Eden, Emerson, Charlie, Elijah and Isaiah; and his brothers-in-law, Dean McCall (Nyla) and Richard Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joan of Arc Foundation or The Honor Flight of the Quad Cities.
