It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Hofmann of Bettendorf, Iowa, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edith Hofmann to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rafael Rodriguez and Edith Rodriguez (Erdmann); her husband Dr. Ronald Joseph Hofmann; her daughter Edith Marie Hofmann; and her siblings, Mercedes "KiKi" Kunkel, Ralph R. Erdmann, Bartolo Rodriguez-Erdmann and Juan Rodriguez-Erdmann.
She is survived by: her son Dr. R. Michael; her daughter-in-law Isabel Hofmann of Ada, Michigan; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Alexis and Brandon; her brother Franz R. Erdmann of Mexico; and her cousin Cita Von Bertrap of Mexico.
Tilis spoke English, Spanish, and French and enjoyed meeting regularly with her French Group until Covid changed life for everyone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quad City Symphony children's music program, the Figge art gallery or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
