He was predeceased by: his parents, Lela Cary (Hoffman) and Dennis Sr. Cary; his brothers, Darwin Cary, Eugene Krieger, Dallas Cary and Danny Cary Sr.; and his nephews, Bart Cary, Brett Cary, Danny Cary Jr. and Junior.
He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Cary (Cindy) of Bettendorf and Stephen Cary (Sylvia) of La Mesa; his grandchildren, Rose, Madalyn and Travis of New Mexico; his sons, Talia and Eric of Bettendorf; his sister Colleen Lehman (Pete) of Bettendorf; and his nieces and nephews, Brian, Brad Cary, Craig Lehman, Pam Hughes, Vickie Smith and Linda Lienhard.
Not being able to play consistently through the pandemic was his greatest frustration.
