He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Drexel and Olga Trulli Drexel. He is survived by: his wife Connie Pyse of Dixon, IL; his daughters, Jennifer Ernsteen of Buffalo Grove, IL and Sara Verwers (Joel) of Kansas City, MO; his sister Sandy Pappas (Ted) of Golden, CO; and his grandchildren, Payton, Lauren Ernsteen of Buffalo Grove, IL, Nicholas and Jake Verwers of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by several brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church Parish Nurses Ministry, where he had been a longtime member, or Clarissa Cook Hospice House where he spent the last few months of his life.
