He was predeceased by: his parents, Euwell Carpenter and Alice Carpenter (Meyer); his wife Judith Carpenter; and his son Craig Carpenter. He is survived by: his children, Chris Carpenter and Steven Carpenter; his grandchildren, Kerri Carpenter and Alex Carpenter; his great grandchild Kayden; and his sisters, Dolores Wilson, Joyce Cox, Marilyn Hagen and Lana Mirr.

Memorials may be made in Carmen's name to the First Baptist Church in Bettendorf.
