In the sacred silence of farewell, Allen John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gene Hale and Phyllis Hale (Kasper); his close friend Lanette Lane; and his sisters, Pauline Elwick (John) of Vinton, IA and Kate McKenzie (Keith) of Springfield, OR.. He was also cherished by children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bettendorf Presbyterian Church (1200 Middle Rd, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Blue Grass Charitable Drop Off Program (BGCDOP) that Allen supported for care and spay/neuter of stray animals or Bettendorf Presbyterian Church.
