She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. and Ella Kurt (Moorman); her parent-in-law Daniel Martin; her siblings, Germaine Bechen (Harlan), Henry Kurt and Dorrance Kurt, Sr. (Betty); and also Mary Martin (Stanton).

She is survived by: her children, Susan Petersen (Doug) of Spragueville, IA, John Martin (Kathy) of Bernard, IA, Patricia Driscoll (Gerald) of Bernard, IA, David Martin (Marcia Martin) of Bernard, IA, Thomas Martin (Shelley) of Bernard, IA and Loras Martin (Lisa) of Charlotte, IA; her siblings, Lois Donovan of Bernard, IA, Charles Kurt (Kit), Earl Kurt (Louetta), Tom Kurt (Rita) and Pete Kurt (Mary Jane); her sisters-in-law, Marie Kivlahan and Murilla Gehl; and also, Joe Martin (Kathleen), Madonna Redmond (Gene), William Kivlahan and Richard Gehl. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
