We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2025, at the age of 90, Dean Olson Sr. of Bernard, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigfred Olson and Genevieve Olson (Nelson); his brother Donald; his son Brian Deon Olson; and his grandchildren, Jamey Grady and Madelyn Doyle.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sandra Harrison of Nevada; his children, Debra Bishop (Mark), Denise Doyle of Ames, Bernard Dean Olson, Jr. (Nadine) of Ames, Deana Toresdahl (Monte) of Ames, Dawn Olson of Waukee and Danette Olson of McCallsburg; and his grandchildren, Jordan McMahon (Kyle), Adam Bishop (Liz), Daniel Doyle (Kristin), Andrew Doyle (Jacklin Stonewall), Donovan Doyle (Evvie), Maggie, Heather Coburn, Brad Olson, Jeremy Grady (Ammi), Zachary Toresdahl, Cody Toresdahl, Mallory Toresdahl, Jessica Dirks, Jennifer Miller, Julia Miller, Michael Ashby (Heather) and Jarid Olson. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (502 Douglas Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
