He was predeceased by: his parents, Norene Burmeister (Schlapkohl) and Lyle Burmeister; his stepparents, Neil J. Boyle and Barbara Burmeister; his nephew Travis Burmeister; his father-in-law John England; and his stepsiblings, Tom Boyle, Nancy Macy, Peggy Whitworth and Jane Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Burmeister (England) of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Kari Elsberry (Gregg) and Wade Burmeister; his grandchildren, Lauren White, Jared White and Isabella Salinas; his siblings, Luanne Huckstadt (Kim), Linda Stiles (Matt), Ken Burmeister (Candy), Gary Burmeister (Rita) and Rick Burmeister (Lydia); his stepbrother Tim Boyle; and his mother-in-law Grace "Tuddy" England. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Inland Cemetery (230th St, Iowa).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Genesis Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, the University of Iowa's Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center or Iowa State University's Chemical Research Against Herbicides in memory of Randy.
