He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lilienthal and Erma Lilienthal (Eichner); and his brother-in-law Merle Hamann. He is survived by: his wife Marijo A. Petersen; his children, Kathy Patterson (Darrin) of Waterloo, Jodi Helton (Keith) of Bentonville, Arkansas and Faron Lilienthal (Kimberly) of Caldwell, Idaho; his grandchildren, Grace, Claire, Paige, Isabella, Lauren, Titus, Olivia and Shiloh; his stepgrandchildren, Sampras Helton and Portia Kurpiewski (Clayton); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Percephalles and Fitzthomas; and his sister Doris Hamann of Stockton, Iowa..
