He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth George and Lavon Adele Gatton (Smith); his brother Terry Gatton; his son Walter Jr.; his granddaughter Macy Gatton; and his father-in-law Kenneth Haverly.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean Haverly; his children, Andy, Dorothy, Tony Gatton and Chris Gatton (Jackie); his grandchildren, Alysha and Sydney; his children, Tracy, Breanna Gatton, Markus Gronewold (Ashley) and Brenda Quigley (Fid); his grandson Trent; his brothers, Don Gatton (Cathy) and Keith Gatton; his mother-in-law Mary Joyce Haverly; his great grandchildren, Mila, Zerylyn and Brixlye; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Navara (Tom), Kathy Grimsley (Lucky) and Steven Haverly (Twila). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Croix Hospice, family, or the donor's choice.
