He is survived by: his adoptive son Ty Nguyen (Loan); his grandchildren, Amy and Tom; his son Paul (Alex Nguyen); his siblings, Gail Langlitz (Larry) of Belmond, IA and Leland VerHelst (Norma) of Pella, IA; and his sister-in-law JoAnn VerHelst of Klemme, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
