He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Johnson and Minnie Johnson (Erdman); and his brother Richard 'Dick Kolpin. He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Vorba; his daughter Erin of Waverly; his siblings, Karleen Humphrey (David) of Fountain Hills, Arizona and Dallas Johnson of Belmond; and his nieces and nephews, Angie Northamer, Mike Mennenga, Elizabeth Pike, Kyle Johnson, Seth Johnson, Allen Kolpin and Brandon Kolpin. He is also survived by many cousins, other family members, and friends.
David gave the gift of tissue and organ donation through Iowa Donor Network.
