She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Cheney and Anna Cheney; and her siblings, Roger Cheney, Jeanette Rathje, Dorothy Jess and Vivian Williams.
She is survived by: her spouse Urban N. Meier; her son Lynn (Mary); her brother Douglas (Debbie); her son Dean; her grandchildren, Ben, Stephanie, Nick, Keith, Derek, Andrew, Sean, Ryan and Nathan; and her sister Lois Petesch (Ron).
In lieu of flowers, a "Thelma Meier Memorial Fund" has been established.
