He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Scholtes and Leora Scholtes (Sturm); his wife Shirley; his in-laws, Lorin Scholtes, Janet Schroeder, Leonard Scholtes (Becky), Gene Scholtes, Donald Scheckel and Ronald Kueter; and also, Andi, Gracie, Mia, Samantha, Yogi, Furgie and Louie.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Sheldon (Scott), Kevin Scholtes (Kristie Culver), Rick Scholtes and Mark Scholtes (Shannon); his sisters, Louann Scheckel and LaVonne Kueter; his siblings-in-law, Betty Scholtes and Jerry Schroeder; his close friends, Dave Clark and Betty Michels; and his pet Shea. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
