He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Daniels and Marion Daniels (Yoerger); and his brother-in-law Gary Smith. He is survived by: his sister Darla Smith; his nephews, Chad Devereaux (Noelle) and Travis Smith (Nicki); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mackenzie, Justin, Kory, Emery and Levi.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roger's memory.
