He is survived by: his spouse Heidemarie Bednarek; his children, Heike Petersen (Harold Yutzy) of Fairplay, Jens Petersen (Lena) of Ottersberg and Sven Petersen of Ulsnis, Germany; his grandchildren, Cody Adams (Marisa O'Toole), Wade Adams (Kyle Baker), Janne, Marie and Gustav Petersen; and his siblings, Heinrich Petersen (Inge), Renate Lahman (Manfred) and Heidemarie Petersen.
