He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Steines and Kathryn Steines (Schmidt); his sons-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Ries and Robert Davids; his grandson Douglas Ries; and his siblings, Walter Steines (Grace), Norman Steines (Alverda), Orville Steines (Mary), Eugene Steines and LaVonne Perkins (Brad).
He is survived by: his children, Richard "Dick" Steines (Marcia), James Steines (Laurie), Barbara Ries, Joyce Davids, Ruth Putman (Larry), Brenda Bronson (Terry) and Linda Michels (Joey). He is also survived by several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
