Cyril Ploessl Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 30, 2024, at the age of 91, Cyril Ploessl of Bellevue, Iowa, born in New Vienna, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cyril Ploessl to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ploessl and Alvina Ploessl (Heying); his siblings, Albert Ploessl, Jr., Art Ploessl (Rosalie), Judy Herrig-Nemmers, Helen Kalmes and Sylvester "Ves" Ploessl; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Till (Orlyn), Fritz Wertzberger, Roger Heinricy and Harold Ambrosy.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Theisen; his children, Joe Ploessl (Nancy), Bob Ploessl (Molly), Jerry Ploessl and Carrie Steines (Terry); his grandchildren, Brett Ploessl (Tami), Tracy Oliver (Mark), Katie Peterson (Michael), Michael Ploessl, Justin Steines (Nikkia), Katelyn Steines (Cody Hasenbank) and Mariah Johnson (Craig); his great grandchildren, Caylee, Lexi, Addison, Maya, Gavin, Brayden, Brennen, Tinsley, Paxsen, Haisley, Jax and Joey; his great great grandchildren, Georgie and Quincy; his siblings, Larry Ploessl (Linda), Ruth Ambrosy and Mary Lou Heinricy; and his siblings-in-law, Lawrence "Windy" Kalmes, Wilma Ploessl, Dick Theisen (Pat), Paul Theisen (Bonnie) and Carolyn Wertzberger.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service (100 N 6th St, Bellevue, IA 52031). A Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (405 Franklin St, Bellevue, IA 52031).

A memorial fund has been established in Cy's memory.
