He was predeceased by: his father Bernard Sr Medinger; his daughter Mary Kay Long-Finch; his great grandchild Kinzlee Long; his sister Velma Benesch; and his mother Virginia Medinger, Sr. (Gerardy).
He is survived by: his wife Donna Medinger (Laffey-Long); his children, Lisa Theisen (Joe), Lori Wells (Stephen), Jim Long (Chris) and John Long (Angie); and his siblings, Don Medinger, Rich Medinger (Gloria), Phyllis Yeager, Mary Guenther (Dennis) and Betty David. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Jackson County or Parkinson's foundation in his name.
