He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Alexander and Margaret Linda Van Steenhuyse (Van Lancker); his wife Patricia Baker; and his siblings, Dolores Rundall, Arline Van Steenhuyse and Ronald Van Steenhuyse.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Loudermilk (Dan) of Atlanta, Georgia, Steve Van Steenhuyse (Virginia) of Mason City, Sherri Lanik (Bob) of Houston and Beth Tessier (David) of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Mariah, Elliott Althoff, Michael, Evan, Maggie, Liz and Joe Van Steenhuyse; his stepgranddaughters, Annie Clare and Emma Tessier; his great grandchildren, Freya Clare and Charlie Kanter; his sisters-in-law, Maybeth Gilliam and Anne Baker Thomas; and his cousin Carol Kuhl. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
