He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bruce and Sarah Margery Border (Mumby); his wife Evelyn Border (Woodworth); his daughter Linda; his sisters, Opal VanKerckvoorde and Ruth Ann Springer; and his brothers-in-law, Frank VanKerckvoorde and Lewis Springer.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Kurovski (James) of Belle Plaine, Deborah Thys (John) of Belle Plaine and Carroll Bruce Border Jr. of Tucson, AZ; his grandchildren, Kevin Kurovski (Lindsey) of Ft Jackson, SC, Brandon Kurovski (Dana) of Burlington, Ryan Kurovski (Terra) of Newton, Lauren LeWarne (Nick) of Ankeny, Shellby Smith (Brandon) of Colorado Springs, CO, Nicole Brady (Aaron) of Johnston and Elisabeth Border of Tuscon, AZ; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Mason, Eva, Mara, Vaida, Zyah, Uriah Kurovski and Noraa Brady; and his sister Kathryn Roth (Larry) of Belle Plaine.
