With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty D. Hovious of Belle Plaine, Iowa, who passed away on January 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Ellis and Mary Ellis (Clark); her husband Barry Raymond Hovious; her children, Dale Gagel and Cindy Criswell; her grandson Patrick Criswell; and her siblings, Leonard, Jo and Shirley Ellis.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Gaede (Steve), Tricia Jones (Brendan) of Belle Plaine, Phyllis Hovious (John Bordwell) of Marengo and Barry Hovious Jr. (Dwana); her grandchildren, Ben Gaede, Logan Phillippe, Nicholaa Phillippe, Brenna Mercer, Kalli, Kobe Grieder, Kurt Gagel and Candice Helstrom (Greg); and her sisters, Nancy Gifford and Barbara Mettlen. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
