It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Barfels of Beaman, Iowa, born in Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Lincoln and Chloris J. Campbell (Cundiff); her husband Kenneth C. Barfels; her children, Michael Purvis (Lyn), Robin Edwards (Andy), Mark Purvis (DJ), Brett Purvis, Chris Purvis (Marsha), Melinda Kruse (Mindy), Deb Ashton (Tom), Jeff Barfels (Mona) and Troy (Lynn Walter-Barfels); her grandchildren, Meredith Thomas, Michelle Heasley (Chris), Josh Edwards (Ashley), Matt Edwards (Amy), Justin Edwards, Heather Purvis (Tyler), Marcus Purvis (Victoria), Eric Holmes (Charlotte), Cyndie Thompson, Brad Holmes (Kim), Grace Purvis, Leah, Janelle, Nathan, Mike, Shane, Colton, Kiersten Kruse, Ryan Ashton (Mindy), Tia Barfels (Jeff), Lexa Barfels, Austin Barfels (Joshlynn), Max, Allie, Emma and Olivia Walter; her sister Constance "Connie" Peterson; and also Tea. She was also cherished by grand baby in Nov of 2024 & her two nieces.
