He had Parkinson's Disease.

“I'm sorry to learn of the passing of Art. He was a great neighbor and a community leader in Beaman. Personally, I enjoyed singing tenor next to him in the Beaman United Methodist Church choir growing up. I also baled hay and shelled corn for Art as a youth/teen. My condolences for peace to his family in the upcoming months. His family is in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Jim Miller-Ames, IA”
