We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2021, at the age of 77, Evelyn Joyce Asher of Beacon, Iowa, born in Newton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pietersma and Katie Pietersma (Slycord); her husband Pete; her siblings, Harold Petersma, Charlie Petersma, Margaret Petersma and Dorothy Van Doorn; and her sisters-in-law, JoAnn Asher and Linda Petersma.
She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Asher of Beacon; her grandchildren, Amber Myers of Norwalk and Austin Asher of Oskaloosa; her great grandchildren, Aliannah Myers, Jackson Myers, Rayce Asher and Serenity Asher; and her siblings, Mary DeLong (Roy) of Leighton, Betty Pietersma of Little Rock, Arkansas, Leonard Petersma of Gravity, Richard Petersma (Sharon) of Pella, Norman Petersma (Deb) of Marble Falls, Robert Petersma (Becky) of Round Rock and John Pietersma of Texas.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
