It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Dean Schmidt of Baxter, Iowa, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmidt and Beulah Schmidt (Patterson); his son Steven Schmidt; and his siblings, Leona Fahrney, Nadine Dee, John Jr. Schmidt, Leland Schmidt, Charles Schmidt, Esther Shattuck, Richard Schmidt, Margaret Ann Swalwell and Eugene Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Schmidt (Shore); his sons, Gary Schmidt, Ed Schmidt (Deanna), Brian Schmidt (Julie) and Adam Schmidt (Connie); his grandchildren, Jason Kutzner, Jamie Schmidt, Marcus Schmidt (Shelby), Sydney Gratopp (Chase), Riley Schmidt, Yara, Joseph and River Schmidt; his great grandchild Asher Schmidt; his sister Joan Smith; and his daughter-in-law Sally Schmidt. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews; and his many, many friends.
