She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Lena Kennaley (Schimmer) and Thomas Kennaley; her husband Freddie Grell of Patrick's Catholic Church; her son Jerry Grell; and her siblings, Bob, Pat, Shirley and Laura.
She is survived by: her children, Diane "Dolly" Varner (Dan) of Sioux City, IA, Tom Grell (Melissa) of Goliad, TX, Anne Carlson of Mapleton, IA and Jamey Grell (Anna) of Danbury, IA; and her grandchildren, Angie Watkins (Neal) of Ida Grove, IA, Nate, Nick, Noel Varner, Randy Grell, Jason Carlson, Amanda Hoffman, Emily, Lydia and Andrew Grell. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews, extended family.
