With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jared Lund of Battle Creek, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 44. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandmother Laura Fitzpatrick; his brother Larry Lund Jr.; his cousin Kara Pithan; and his little buddy Jordan Reed. He is survived by: his parents, Larry Lund and Susan Lund (Fitzpatrick) of Battle Creek, IA; his wife Sarah Lund of Battle Creek, IA; his children, Ethan Davis of Mapleton, IA, Kelsey Rutar (Justin) of Mapleton, IA, Logan Davis (Taylor) of Mapleton, IA, Kiley Davis of Vermillion, SD, Karlye Steinkuehler (Lucien) of Denison, IA, Kenzey Davis of Mapleton, IA, Leighton Davis of Mapleton, IA and Riley Lund of Battle Creek, IA; his parents-in-law, Bob and Sherry Welte of Danbury, IA; his brother Jesse Lund of Battle Creek, IA; his siblings-in-law, Teresa Reitz (Kevin) of Spirit Lake, IA and Justin Welte of Danbury, IA; and his grandson Creed Rutar (Baby Rutar). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Battle Creek Fire Station (504 1st St, Battle Creek, IA 51006). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
