He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Fick and Florence Fick (Fick); and his brothers, James "Boots" Fick, Henry Fick and Harold Fick.

He is survived by: his former wife Janice Sacquety; his daughters, Amy and Carol; his wife Peggy Lee Fick of Battle Creek, IA; his stepson Eric (Melanie Bell); his granddaughters, Ashlyn and Makayla Bell; and his sisters-in-law, Patty Hamann of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Pam Limoges of Sioux City, IA and Carla Fick of Battle Creek, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be donated to the Battle Creek Cemetery and Ronald McDonald house in Iowa City in honor of his memory.
