She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Franklin, Sr. and Ellen Luella Plantz (Morris); her daughter Ramona Suina; and her siblings, Guy Plantz, Jr., Melvin Plantz, Robert Plantz, Viola Bermmer, Joyce Newhaus, Justine Schultz and Donna Castle.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Van Houten of Sioux Center, IA, Robert Van Houten of Anthon, IA and Teresa Van Otterloo (Sherwyn) of Kimberling City, MO; her grandchildren, Julie, Travis, John, Brady, Faith and Logan; her great grandchildren, Michael, Emma, Katie, Zoe, Austin, Cameron and Calvin; her great great grandchildren, Joseph, Jamie, Atlas and Bentley; and her sister Mary Lou Bottjen of Sioux City, IA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (608 4th St, Battle Creek, IA 51006). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
