She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Ortberg and Freida Ortberg (Rankin); her adoptive parents, Virgil and Bess; her husband Robert Boyd Mitchell; her siblings, William "Bill" Ortberg (Mary) and Jeanne Thompson (Frank); her children-in-law, Patricia Mitchell and Douglas Deisch; her grandson Christopher Thies; and her great grandchild Leandra Cranston.
She is survived by: her uncle Albian Ortberg; her wife Bess; her aunt Virgil Linman; her children, Robert V. "Bob" Mitchell of Parkton, MD, Sharon "Sherry" Thies (Richard) of Arthur, IA and Patricia "Pat" Deisch of Lincoln, NE; and her grandchildren, Shane Mitchell (Jenn), Shawn Thies (Deb), Mindee Cranston (Lee), Shad Chandler, Mitchell Chandler and Danielle Deisch. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren.
