It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David John Mello (Batavia, Iowa), born in Sonoma, California, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Mello and Della Machado Mello; and his sister Eileen Mays. He is survived by: his children, Dan (Lori) of Arkansas, Pete (Amber) of Washington State and Michelle (Rakesh) of Menlo Park, California; his stepdaughter Sarah Olson (John) of Blakesburg, IA; his sisters, Elaine Costa of California and Eleanor Schultz of California; and his wife Susan Turnbull. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
