He is survived by: his former wife Betty Phipps; his son Randall; his former wife Mary Beth Lindall; his children, Lila Fusaro (Pat) of Des Moines, Randy Roovaart (Michelle) of Des Moines, Twila Thompson (John) of Montezuma, Deborah Horton (Don) of Fort Madison, Donna Knox of Fort Madison, Steve Holtkamp (Marlene) of Irving, TX, Stanley Holtkamp (Barbara) of Irving, TX, Denise Peacock of New Sharon, Deanna Rankin (Richard) of Irving, TX, Sherri Ledford (Howard) of Rock Springs, GA, Kevin Lindahl of Poplar Grove, IL and Kimberly Anderson (Jim) of Greenfield, WI; and his brother Leonard Roovaart (Carol) of Bondurant. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
