Duane Wanders Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Wanders of Barnes City, Iowa, born in New Sharon, Iowa, who passed away on December 27, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wanders and Margaret Wanders (Klein); his wife Evelyn Rice; his granddaughter Tanya German; his sister Marjorie Van Houweling (Gerald); and his brother-in-law Norman Wehrle.

He is survived by: his children, Teresa Fawcett (Craig) of Oskaloosa, Kenny Wanders (Marcy) of New Sharon and Debbie Bullington (Jerry) of Runnells; his grandchildren, Tyler German (Jill) of Lynnville, Alan Fawcett (Crystal) of Oskaloosa, Laura Van Kooten (Corey) of Sully, Lindsey Rotert (Matt) of Bondurant, Chelsea Bullington of Runnells, Chet Bullington (Kenzie) of Altoona, Tanner Wanders of Oklahoma City, Trent Wanders of Des Moines and Bailey Wanders of New Sharon; his siblings, Loretta Wehrle of Taintor, Leroy Wanders (Millie) of Oskaloosa and Dorothy VerPloeg (Norman) of Leighton; and also Duane.
