He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schiltz and Kathryn Schiltz (Blum); his wife Marilyn Samuelson; and his siblings, Ann Conway, Tony Schiltz, Joe Schiltz, Carrie Denning, Theresa Wilson, Hermanette Tank and Mary Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Schiltz of Des Moines, IA, Michael Schiltz (Camie) of Ankeny, IA, Susan Henson (Lloyd) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Thomas Schiltz of Des Moines, IA, Patrick Schiltz (Georgia) of Des Moines, IA and Mary Jo Bloominger (Jeff) of Davenport, IA; his grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Benjamin, Hailey, Hannah, Tessa, Matthew, Collin, Sophie, Patrick, Grant, Joseph, Conner, Trever, Laty and Robinson; his great grandchildren, Anthony and Michael; his sister Laurina Schleismen; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Schiltz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
