It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary L. Funke of Bancroft, Iowa, born in Albert Lea, Minnesota, who passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Avery and Betty Avery (Budach); her husband Francis "Frank" Funke; her brother Allan Avery; and her siblings-in-law, David, Jim Clarence, Merrill, Paul, Harvey, Mary and Inez.
She is survived by: her sons, Francis "Lee" Funke of Bancroft, Larry Funke (Genell) of Harlan, Bradley Funke (Latricia) of Bancroft and Justin Funke (Renee) of Bancroft; her grandchildren, William, Samantha, Alyssa, Erik, Zoey, Zeela and Zuke; her siblings, Vic Avery (Donna) of Albert Lea, MN and Phyllis Lamping (Gerald) of Hibbing, MN.; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Avery of Owatonna, MN, Maxine Leff (Donald) of Lime Springs, Marketta Souhrada of Riceville and Carroll Funke (Ellen) of North Dakota. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
