He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Ann; his son-in-law Donald McIntosh; his granddaughters, Shannon Elsbecker and Michelle Reisner; and his siblings, Richard Elsbecker and Elizabeth Jergens.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Elsbecker (Marcia) of Jackson, MN, Deborah McIntosh Flaherty of Nevada, Diane Elsbecker of Waterloo, Gregg Elsbecker (Eileen) of Bancroft, Jay Elsbecker (Agnes) of Gilbert, AZ, Dean Elsbecker (Shawn) of Sioux City, Nancy Degen (Patrick) of Emmetsburg, Nikki Wagner (Steve) of Urbandale and Jodi Alt (Chris) of Algona; his grandchildren, Peter Eltjes, Caleb Doyle, Chris McIntosh (Ellen), Caitlin Dreckman (Matt), Abby McIntosh, Allison McIntosh, Samantha McIntosh, Benjamin Flockhart (Eden), Elizabeth Smith (Patrick), Joseph Flockhart (Katie), Nicole Crawford (Matt), Joshua Elsbecker (Sarah), Kevin Elsbecker, Jacob Elsbecker (Trista), Mychal Elsbecker, Anthony Elsbecker, Cassandra Moeller (Bear), Mike Weaver, Rebecca, Mark, Aaron Wagner, Dylan and Logan Alt; his siblings, Phil Elsbecker (Geraldine) of Bancroft, Maurice Elsbecker (Charlene) of Bancroft and Mary Lou Hayden of York, NE; and his sister-in-law Jackie Becker of Bancroft. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many additional relatives and friends.
