He was predeceased by: his brother Wayne Axness; his sister-in-law Pam Axness; and his parents, Raymond Axness and Pearl Axness (Bradley). He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Huen; his children, Sonia Owens (Jim) of Jefferson, Kimberly Gordon (Matt) of Fort Dodge, Bradley Axness (Sharon) of Badger and Pamela Gabrielsen (Derek) of Mankato, Minnesota; and his siblings, Gary Axness (Nancy) of Badger, Rosemarie Adams (Larry) of Fort Dodge and Terry Axness (Beverly) of Badger. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
