He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Kenneth and Amanda Johanna Refsell (Egeland); his former wife Louise Ann Downing; his siblings, Ole Refsell, Dorothy Mitchell, Esther Fitzgerald and Barbara Herbranson; and his sister-in-law Janice Refsell.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Refsell of Milton, Florida; his sons, David Refsell (Sheli) of Iuka and Stephen Refsell of McAllen, Texas; and his granddaughters, Gracie, Ashton and Olivia. He is also survived by stepchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
