He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred John and Sadie Brattmiller; his wife Alice Mae Hogge; his siblings, Rollie, Bill and Ruth; and his granddaughter Kate.
He is survived by: his child Iowans; his siblings, Doris Rosberg of Wausa and Jim Brattmiller (Hope) of Spirit Lake, Iowa; his children, Ronald of Forest City, Iowa, Janet Wackerbarth (Darwin) of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Karen Klinkefus (Jon) of Cedar Rapids; his granddaughter Jill; his daughter Sharon Chism (John) of Huxley; and his grandsons, Jim and Jack. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
