It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Swanson of Ayrshire, Iowa, born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, who passed away on September 22, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Kinnetz and Rosella Kinnetz (Stigman); her husband Deryll Swanson; and her brother Benjamin Kinnetz. She is survived by: her children, Randy Swanson (Deb) of Manson, Janelle Bendixen of Ayrshire and Jen Buettner (Chad) of Ayrshire, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jeremy Swanson, Nicholas Swanson, Justine Tonderum, Jake Tonderum (Morgan), Jared Tonderum, Joseph Tonderum, Jackie Miller (Nate), Jordan Buettner, Cami Buettner (Vincent) and Justin Buettner; her great grandchildren, Oakley, Emmet, Addilyn, Nate Jr., Amelia, Ryder, Ruger, Riggs, River, Madison and Kyler; her sisters, Barbara Grafe of Minnesota and Mary Douglas of Arizona; and her siblings-in-law, Elaine and Jerry Holland of Emmetsburg, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home (704 Grand Ave, Emmetsburg, IA 50536). Visitation was held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
