He is survived by: his wife Betty Joyce Krohn; his sons, Jeff Maassen (Dawn) of Hancock, Iowa, Bruce (Jacque) and Roger Maassen (Jennie) of Avoca, Iowa; his daughter-in-law Allison Maassen of Neola, Iowa; and his sister Joan Andersen of Atlantic, Iowa. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 step–great grandchildren.
